Good Weekend...

Our boy sure did enjoy his watermelon this past weekend!  We enjoyed our quiet Sunday, so to take a break from studying yesterday I decided to take my family on a drive. Since we are a family on a budget we love to just do the simple things. We shared a snack at a park near the Halifax River. Afterwards, we shared an ice cream and found another quiet park outside of town called the James Ormond Park. This park has a tomb of James Ormond who the city was named after. It was pretty cool. Then we drove around for a bit looking at houses that we wish we could live in some day. Not now, but soon (have to keep telling ourselves that). People sure live in some nice places though. It is completely different here in the states than Iraq. Makes you really appreciate the things you get here. Unfortunately most don't realize how nice we have it. We ended the day back home with some grilled orange marmalade chicken. Turned out delicious. Later I will post a photo of the chicken with a recipe and how I prepped it. Well we are also planning for Joey's birthday next weekend. It is his first birthday and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse themed. Leave a comment if you have any thoughts we could use.
